Jackie’s Bio
Your major: General Studies
Your hometown: West Valley
Where do you live now? West Valley
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about bettering myself. My new year’s resolution was to become less negative and more confident.
What is your favorite class (or classes) at SLCC? My favorite class was my gender studies class. We talked about what gender means to us and how it shapes how we see ourselves and others.
Which actor/actress would play you in your life movie? Someone that looks absolutely nothing like me. So like blonde Jennifer Lawrence or Emma Roberts.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Hopefully graduated (really counting on that one) and at a new job. I work in a warehouse and I would hope that a degree would get me a somewhat better job.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Teleportation hands down. Imagine all the gas you would save by just teleporting everywhere you wanted. I wouldn’t have to worry about buying plane tickets ever again.
Something about you that other people would be surprised to know: I crochet and I do embroidery. I have recently made a star tote bag and a beanie with cat ears. I’ve embroidered flower designs on t-shirts.
Jackie’s Favorites
Favorite musicians and/or artists: Deftones, Wisp, Whirr, Yeek, Jane Remover.
Favorite TV shows and/or movies: Weirdly enough, rarely watch TV or movies. I have to be forced in order to watch something new, I have no idea why, I just can’t commit to watching something new. I do like horror movies though and I love animated TV shows like regular show.
Favorite sports or sports teams: I don’t really watch sports since most of the time I don’t really know what’s going on. I do like playing volleyball, although I also don’t know what is going on half the time.
Favorite food: I don’t know if I could choose a favorite food. Maybe potatoes if I had to choose. You can cook them in so many different ways I don’t think I could get bored of them.
What’s your favorite place to eat? Olive Garden. I don’t care how many times I go, I will always go back. I don’t care if its considered the fast food of sit in restaurants, it’s perfect, I love it. I don’t need to see the menu, I know exactly what I’m getting the second I walk through those doors.
What was your favorite cereal as a kid? Cookie Crisp. Something about having mini chocolate chip cookies for breakfast just really did it for me. Also it turned the milk into chocolate milk so that was also a plus.
