Annasimone’s Bio

Your major: Math

Your hometown: Montego Bay, Jamaica

Where do you live now? Park City, Utah

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about my relationship with my fiancé, it is the best relationship I have been in and I am proud of the work we have done to achieve it.

What is your favorite class (or classes) at SLCC? So far, Comm 1560 has been a fun one and is one of my favorite classes, but because of my love for math, Math 1010 is another favorite.

Which actor/actress would play you in your life movie? Zazie Beetz, because she has good range and for someone to play my life they would need range. She is also an immigrant, therefore she would be able to relate to culture shock, or clash.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years I see myself happily married to the love of my life.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? If I could have any superpower I would love teleportation. There are so many places I would love to travel without the turbulence of an airplane.

Something about you that other people would be surprised to know: People would be surprised to know I had Lasik eye surgery because I still need to wear contacts or really thick glasses.

Annasimone’s Favorites

Favorite musicians and/or artists: I have a few artists that I love, Jimi Hendrix, Kanye West, Prince, and Michael Jackson. West is the only one still living and though I wouldn’t call West the best rapper, I do believe he is the most creative and pushes musical boundaries. He is also a walking contradiction which demonstrates his humanity.

Favorite TV shows and/or movies: I don’t really have a favorite tv show, but I can watch the Food Network all day.

Favorite sports or sports teams: Basketball is my favorite sport and because I was raised in Brooklyn I love the Brooklyn Nets.

Favorite food: Since I am from a Caribbean island, seafood is my favorite, but my favorite kind of seafood is from the island of Japan. Sushi is for true fish lovers, it’s clean and all about the texture and flavor of the fish.

What’s your favorite place to eat? My favorite place to eat in Utah is Takashi, so far it’s the best sushi spot I’ve found in Utah.

What was your favorite cereal as a kid? Oh my gosh, I hate cereal! It’s like cardboard mixed with milk and sugar, but if I had to say one, it would be all the sugary flavor and thinly toasted cardboard texture of Frosted Flakes.
