Amber’s Bio

Your major: Music

Your hometown: I grew up an army brat, so consider myself from both nowhere and everywhere.

Where do you live now? Sandy, UT

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about fitness, writing, music, and especially traveling. I have a habit of spontaneously buying a plane ticket to wherever’s cheapest when I get restless. Have had some unplanned, crazily epic adventures because of it.

What is your favorite class (or classes) at SLCC? It’s my first semester at SLCC, but so far my favorite class is Radio Performance and Production class.

Which actor/actress would play you in your life movie? I would want to have Amanda Seyfried play me in my life movie, simply because people have told me I look like her (though I don’t see it).

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years I see myself as a published author and walking through a jungle in some far off country in search of another story.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? If I could have any superpower I’d pick teleportation, because who wouldn’t want to watch the sunrise in Tuscany and enjoy dinner in Tokyo? Would also be ideal to relax in a hammock in Costa Rica after work.

Something about you that other people would be surprised to know: Something people would be surprised to know is that I can speak Chinese. I learned while living in Beijing for a year.

Amber’s Favorites

Favorite musicians and/or artists: Some of my favorite musicians/artists are Palace, Blue October, Muse, Linkin Park, Lana Del Rey, Frank Sinatra, and Clint Mansell.

Favorite TV shows and/or movies: Some favorite films are Birdman, Stardust, The Goonies, The Illusionist, and the Jason Bourne Trilogy.

Favorite sports or sports teams: I’m not a huge sports person, but I have always enjoyed to play and watch soccer.

Favorite food: I would kill for authentic Chinese food. It’s that good. When I got back to the States and ordered my favorite dish from an “authentic” Chinese restaurant, I ended up in tears simply because it didn’t taste even remotely similar. I’ve become a food snob…

What’s your favorite place to eat? Any place that would be considered “Amber friendly”. I’m allergic to life- I mean dairy, wheat, gluten, oats, and have an intolerance to beef.

What was your favorite cereal as a kid? My favorite cereal was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Breakfast was my favorite part of sleepovers because my mom refused to buy any cereal with sugar.
